Join COGEAN, Mother's Acting Up, Students Against Genetic Engineering, SEEK, and EcoPledge for a parade down the Boulder Farmer's Market and the Pearl Street Mall to advocate for labeling of genetically engineered foods and in support of Colorado's Organic Farmers. Agenda includes getting people to send letters, emails or faxes to their US Rep and Senator and more video presentations. Monday, October 7 - An Old Fasion Political Rally at the McMillen Building, Larimer County Fairgrounds starting at 5:30pm. The Fairgrounds are located at 710 S. Railroad Avenue in Loveland. Tuesday, October 8 - Kraft Day of Action against GMOs The Colorado Genetic Engineering Action Network, along with the Organic Consumers Association, Students Against Genetic Engineering and EcoPledge will be having a day of action at Safeway, 28th and Arapahoe in Boulder. We are working to get Kraft to eliminate all genetically engineered ingredients from their products. Meet at noon, events starts at 12:30 Tuesday, October 8 - West For Congress Fundraiser/Dinner Come support West for Congress at this fun filled fundraising dinner at the Peace Meadow Retreat, 7075 Valmont in Boulder. The festivities start at 6:30pm. The requested contribution is $50 (sliding scale). A vegan/organic dinner will be served by Sandy Robinson of Suppers Ready. To RSVP please call 720-566-0214. Thursday, October 10 - Longmont Annual Town Meeting This town meeting will be a great opportunity for voters to get to know the candidates. The event starts at 6:30pm at Westview Middle School, 1651 Airport Road in Longmont. The ROCKIES ORGANIZING CONFERENCE (ROC) will be held on the weekend of October 11th -13th at Denver University. We are holding the ROC in response to ever-escalating attacks upon our environment, and the overwhelming need for well-coordinated and effective student activism! Thursday, October 24 - Office/House Party - 7:00pm - Groover Spinal Care, 2725 Iris, Boulder.
